Installation
Wiring our heating panels is similar to wiring a light fixture. They are lightweight and can be installed by one or two people, preferably a qualified electrician.
We provide all of the hardware, including the thermostat, extension ring, and mounting hardware. If you do this yourself, you will only need the wire, generally 12-2, and the means of installation.
After the panels are installed, they can easily be painted (optional) with a water based paint to match the existing wall color. DO NOT OPERATE UNTIL COMPLETELY DRY.
NOTE: Please use latex gloves that are clean when installing to keep dirt and fingerprints off the panels. If they do become dirty, use warm water and a small paint brush, then blot with a dry cloth.
Surface mounting with wire behind sheet rock (Wiremold RPD model shown)
- Insure adequate clearance for panel connection box.
- Install connection (Handy) box to back of panel using the pre-positioned screws (provided).
- Connect the power supply conductors to the panel leads in the connection box.
- Position on ceiling, holding panel in place.
- Punch or drill holes into the ceiling to provide a hole for the anchor assembly (provided), or mark holes for drill. The frame mounting holes are designed to accept #6 -1 ¾” Pan head screws (provided).
- Hold the panel up the ceiling and install the screws through the panel and tighten into place.
NOTE: Installing screws on the opposing corners of a panel at first greatly eases the installation.
- Insert plastic caps to close frame screw holes.

T-BAR MOUNTING (Suspended ceiling)
- Install connection box to back of panel using the two pre-positioned screws.
- Lay the panel carefully onto the T-Bar grid and secure with installer provided hold-down clips if necessary.
- Connect the power supply conductors to the panel leads in the module connection box.
Surface mounting with wiring on face of sheet rock (Wiremold RPD model shown)
- Assemble Wiremold junction box and rear plate and attach to the side of the panel frame with the provided hardware.
- Position panel and junction box assembly onto ceiling to mark the location of the panel and junction box mounting holes.
- Use proper mounting anchors based on the material that the panel will be attached to. i.e. sheet rock, brick, concrete, etc.
- Hold the panel and junction box assembly to the ceiling; insert screw completely through large frame hole and screw securely through small frame hole into anchor.
- Bring Wiremold raceway through appropriate knockout of panel junction box.
- Connect the power supply conductors to the panel leads: Attach the grounding conductor to the provided ground clip.
