How it works

About infrared energy.
Infrared or radiant energy is the most practical way to add warmth to spaces like patios, terraces, verandas, enclosed areas, or any indoor or outdoor setting where heated air cannot easily be contained and re-circulated. A heated quartz element emits a safe, clean wavelength of light that is only absorbed by solid objects, transferring heat directly to a person, table or floor rather than heating the air. For this reason, infrared heat can be distributed very evenly, and will not simply "blow away" in windy or drafty conditions. Infratech medium wave quartz element heaters emit a barely discernible, pleasing glow that will not affect the ambience of your gathering - unlike competitive short-wave or halogen electric heaters that produce a very harsh glare or bright-colored light.

In today's world, protecting our environment has become a top priority. With Infratech heaters, you can entertain outside without producing the negative environmental effects created by most gas-fired heaters or outdoor fireplaces. Traditional gas burners are often less than 50% efficient and emit carbon monoxide and other hazardous gases as a by-product of combustion and burning fuel. By contrast, our energy-efficient infrared fixtures convert over 90% of input energy directly into radiant heat, and operate for just pennies per hour. Infratech electric infrared heaters are safe for use outdoors or indoors, operate silently, emit no greenhouse gases or unpleasant odors and do not require ventilation. In addition, Infratech comfort heater components and packaging are completely recyclable.

Infratech elements are rated for 5,000 hours of continuous use. In many installations you may enjoy your heater for years before a replacement would be needed.

w-series single element heaters
With a variety of sizes to choose from, it is important to select the proper W-Series single element heater in order to provide the coverage and intensity necessary for optimum comfort. Some home or business owners may need to use multiple heaters, in order to completely cover larger areas. W-Series heaters range from 1,500 to 4,000 watts.

wd-series dual element heaters
Dual element fixtures produce more concentrated heat and can be mounted up to 14 feet high. These fixtures are ideal for use in settings that require higher mounting height requirements, or when more intense directional heat is desired. Dual element heaters are available in 4,000, 5,000 and 6,000 watt models.

sl-series slimline single element heaters
With crisp, modern styling, an anodized aluminum housing and narrow profiles, Slimline heaters virtually disappear into the surrounding décor, and are capable of withstanding years of outdoor use. Slimline heaters are ideal for surface mount applications up to ten feet, and feature a T-slot for flexible mounting options using the included brackets. Available in 1,600, 2,400, 3,000 and 4,000-watt models.

Heating Green offers a variety of control options for maximum energy efficiency, control versatility, ease of use and affordability. Your control options range from simple on/off switches for all models, a duplex switch option for the dual element WD-series, our value priced input regulators for models 3,000 watts or less, or sophisticated solid-state control systems. When multiple heaters are in use, we always suggest the use of solid-state controls. Our solid-state controls are engineered to maximize performance, provide more efficient operation, enable you to adjust intensity infinitely for the ideal setting and offer you zonal control capabilities. Solid-state controls are available in any voltage (UL Listed), engineered for your individual project and suitable for commercial or residential installations of any size.
