The family that bought this home has tackled the issues with this old home by removing the old furnace, removing old and installing new insulation, and even installed a 6 KW photovoltaic system (solar panels) with a bank of back up batteries on the two car garage. Their goal is to be off grid if possible (frack free). So installing a single head Fujitsu ductless heat pump was an easy choice, especially with the incentives offered by Puget Sound Energy and the Community Energy Challenge.
