Residential Garage Heating Project – Bellingham, WA

Previously installing infrared radiant panels into the new addition to her home, Bellingham resident Janine returned to Heating Green to help her with another heating need. “I like working with Jeff because he’s always been very available and absolutely helpful and not the least bit pushy,” Janine said.

Building a new garage to work on projects, it became unused when winter came.

“The only heat that was in it was a type of propane bottle heater that you light with a match. And of course there are fumes, but if you open the door it defeats the purpose,” Janine said, “so I ended up not spending much time in the garage during the winter which was distressing because I like being outside working on projects.”

Watch the video below to hear more about these projects, and how Janine discovered infrared radiant heat.

  1. We have radiant heat panels in every room of our house. Total of 9 panels. Some are 2 x 4, others are 2 x 2. No duct work/registers, no furnace, no noise! They heat the spaces we want rapidly. Love them! We live on Vancouver Island and have mild winters…rarely snow. We primarily heat with high efficiency wood stove…2000 sq ft home. The panels provide welcome support when we have cold snaps or after we have been away for trips. Set them at 10C to keep the house from freezing up. People often mistake them for skylights. Super easy to install between rafters…next to nothing in maintenance/cleaning/repair. Really feel they have added value to our house. Can’t understand why everyone doesn’t install them.
